PRODUCTION DETAILS: Rafael Enrique Rodríguez Bencid was also the line producer for Simón, the award-winning Venezuelan film produced in Miami and directed by Diego Vicentini. The movie tells the story of a conflicted young Venezuelan protester who, after being arrested and tortured during protests in his country, flees to Miami seeking asylum. Simón premiered at the Florida Film Festival and has received multiple awards, including Best Feature Film at the Venezuelan Film Festival and Best Narrative Feature at the Heartland International Film Festival. It was also nominated for Best Ibero-American Film at the 38th Goya Awards.
