PRODUCTION DETAILS: Sex for Survival is a compelling 1-hour documentary that sheds light on the stark realities faced by many Venezuelan migrants. Nominated at the Bavaria International Film Festival in Frankfurt, Germany, and awarded Best Editing at the Berlin Indie Film Festival, this powerful film, led by journalist Luis Olavarrieta, follows the stories of Venezuelan migrants forced into sex work as a means of survival. Filmed across Venezuela, Colombia, and the United States, the documentary showcases production by Rafael Enrique Rodríguez Bencid, a script by Marcos Salas, conceptual and creative editing by Boris Urrutia, and graphic design by Ramón León. Sex for Survival was produced by Black Hole Enterprises and Picante Films in association with the AID FOR AIDS Foundation in New York.
